Hi,

If you just install template, you need install or create modules and then assign modules to positions, assign module to menus, etc. The menu module also the same.

If you install quickstart demos, after installed you will have a full site as demos. See install guide here

The Joomla 1.7 is not supported anymore so it will be Joomla! 2.5. That's not problem.

Thanks

Please make sure:
+ the menu item have children

Can you see the "Service" sub menu in Contact page? When see html code from firebug (at Contact page), there is no sub menu in Services, so it will not work. :-) That's problem and you need re-check the menu assignment etc.

Maybe some suggestions:

1. Can use the wrapper of Joomla! and do not need any change
2. Find any bridge or utility to migrate to Joomla! content
