Hi

Site is www.nmcexquisite.com

When I click Add to Cart then:
1. Modal popup pops up.
2. The VM Cart module update to 1 item. (while the modal popup is displaying)
3. As soon as you click continue shopping on the modal popup, the VM cart module (in left position)displays empty cart.
4. If I continue adding a 2nd item, the VM cart module now display 1 item, but actually there are 2 items in the cart.
5. Also the VM Cart Module, does not show the price or item list.

Kindly assist.

I've just tested on your site and it works fine. Please clear your cache of browser and try again.

Hi,

I have cleared cache.

I also tried 3 different PC's and different browsers.

This seems to be a random problem.

Please test a few times as the problem is still there.

Hi,

Solved part of the problem.

I ftp'ed to /templates/my_template/html/mod_virtuemart_cart and renamed the files in there.

Now, the cart shows me the price and items in the basket.

HOWEVER, it still does not update correctly.

i.e. If I add items to the cart it does appear in the cart (if you checkout you will get all your items) but the cart module does not always show all the items.

Any clues?

I have extended my subscribtion to another 3 months.

PLEASE..help me solve the cart update issue.

I have just updated VM to the lastest version to try and solve the problem, but it is still not solved.

Hi Noo,

Can you try use default template of Joomla! Virtuemart then test it ? I want check it that way cause it should work with default template first.

Hello,

I think you should download template file again and install it on new server and make sure it runs fine first as our demo site. Because it did not run fine even Joomla! template default for now. I need you install a test demo on your server first.

1.

Seems to be working
JM 2.5.7 and older VM.

2.
My test server
www.nmc.za.com
This has a problem.
On this server, I have installed a backup of my live site.
I have upgraded JM to 2.5.8 and latest VM
I tried re-installing just the template file.

3.
What is the next step?
How do we find the fault?

Hello,

1. Update Joomla 2.5.9 for: www.nmc.za.com/test and no install any 3rd extension. Then test it. If it's ok then upgrade VM then test functional again.

Hi

I think I am making some progress.

I had disabled Joomla cache because the was a cache problem. The cache was growing to 1gb in size in a few days.

The cart was still giving problems at this stage.

I may have updated other components in this time as well.

About 1 month ago I installed Jot Cache for caching.

Today I came across a few posts regarding VM and Jot cache.

I disabled jot cache on my live site (nmcexquisite.com) and so far the cart seems to be working.

I will continue to run with no cache for a while and see if the problem is fixed.
