Removing Article content from Home page? How?

I hope someone can help, I have an area of content (articles) displaying on the home page this and when I click on some featured articles from the OT_Scroller it displays it in this content area. I have enabled Preview on the template and this content sits outs ide of any of the designated boxes. How do I get rid of it ??... it is becoming very frustrating! !! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately I am unable to as its for an intranet site that is only external to our organisation

sorry I meant internal to our organisation.

This only seems to happen when loading Articles from the OT scroller and not Categories.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
