Menu bar option button size ?

hi there,

Newbie to the Joomla world, just one question regarding the size of the option buttons on the top menu bar, my web page only got 4 to 5 options for top menu, so all the buttons compact in the middle of the menu bar instead of spread out evenly. Is there any way to make it look nicely or have custom made size button ??
