Hi can you tell me how to set up the thumbnail folder. It is not pulling the actual thumbnail from each article as other modules do.

thanks

Hi,

OT News don't have the thumbnail folder configuration. Could you please send me your url to see what do you want?

see the image attached where it says " path of the default thumbnails - modules/mod_otnews/images/default.jpg"

When I hold my mouse over it, it says "default of thumbnails head item" If I remove the default text and hit save it comes back and shows your default image. If I try to point it to my folder I get the missing image icon.

My images are stored in /stories/sub folders/ and then more sub-folders based on the article category

So how does one configure this?

ot_news_backend_config.jpg - for some reason this forum is not showing the image. Look under basic options of the OT News config in the backend

Hi,

The images thumbnail is loaded from image in your articles automatically. If your article don't have any image, the default thumbnail in configuration is loaded instead. So you don't have to configure the thumbnail folder.

Hi,

The image which is used to thumbnail must be in the introtext of articles.

Have to say I have the same problem, but just in first col. There is photo in article intro, but module shows the default image.

Hi dirkvanleuven,
The module will get the first found image from the introtext (if there is no readmore placed it is all text else it is text above readmore line.). If there is no image in introtext, it will get the default image and will not get the image below readmore line.

So, you all can try place thumbnail image above readmore line to get the nice look. In the case of presenting that image must display at the middle or bottom of article, try create introtext with copied image and then using "not show introtext" function in article view params configuration.

If you want to get more help, please place a contact and your site link & information and we can see the problem for you.

As far as I can see, I do everything as you mentionned but no result.

www.deweide.be/new

I have tried to change the article dralion. As I mentionned the defaultpicture the dralion-one then it works, if i remove the last word (the file itself) nothing came up anymore.

Hi all,
As I said
The module will get the first found image from the introtext (if there is no readmore placed it is all text else it is text above readmore line.). If there is no image in introtext, it will get the default image and will not get the image below readmore line.

After check all case, I realize that there is a bug when attribute "src" far from "<img" starting.

The bug is fixed and you can download and reinstall and enjoy it!
