include an imagen behind header

Good morning,
I'm dealing with OT Ante, and I need your assistance to make following changes in code. I´m not really expertise on it.
1.- I would like to include an image under logo, top, seach, cart positions just a picture.
2.- I like to link register/login in top position to that of virtuemart.

1. You should use background for header

2. You should edit or create new html module and insert link( assign that module to top position)
